The Blob Returns Again?! Yikes!!!

=== From Reuters ===
By Liza Foreman
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Paramount Pictures, fast becoming the home of the remake with such recent pictures as "The Italian Job," "The Manchurian Candidate" and "The Stepford Wives," is resurrecting "The Blob."

Starring Steve McQueen, the 1958 campy cult classic followed a mysterious creature from another planet that resembled a giant blob of jelly and went on a path of destruction as it grew bigger. The movie was remade in 1988 with Chuck Russell at the helm.
The update will be produced for the studio by Jack Harris, who produced the original, and Scott Rudin.
Oh no... the Blob returns... the only creature that ever terrified me as a child may soon be re-released on an unsuspecting public. What are we to do???

Get out those carbondioxide extinguishers or move to the Arctic!

The Blob????? I agree with you on that one. It was the only movie I had ever seen that gave me nightmares. When the man stuck his hand in that cave (or whatever) and he pulled his arm out and the skin was eaten off...well that took part in my nightmare. I didn't even want to go into a theatre after that.

Ok, so that was silly and I've even seen a lot of movies that were scarier so why did that one affect me like it did? Gee, Alfred Hitchcock's movie, The Birds should have scared me more. The day after I saw that movie I woke to find the yard filled with 20 or more black birds in the yard and I thought it was cool. Go and figure...

Sorry, didn't mean to go on and on.

God bless†
