7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
-- James 4:7-8 (NKJV)
Part of my morning Scripture today. How many of us experience the "wars" inside because we do not submit to GOD, but rather continue to trudge along the path that we have selected? Then we wonder why we experience heart-ache, defeat, and pain. The portion of verse 8 that is translated "double-minded" means to be of two spirits, to vacillate, to waiver between two points. Does that sound like our culture today? How many of us know that same feeling in our personal lives? How much longer will we vacillate -- let us chose today who we will follow!
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. -- James 1:4-8 (NKJV)
